Shaking off the Turkey dinners with barely a minute to breathe (but oh man that stuffing was amazing) and hurtling full speed ahead toward my favourite holiday of the year, Halloween!
Halloween seems a little different for me these days. All the questions start to pop into my brain as I switch from meeting with clients to picking up children to planning the weekly dinners….. What will our girls wear for trick or treating? Do we stick to our own neighbourhood or do we make the pilgrimage to Tapley’s this year? Is candy still ok to hand out or do we need to come up with something healthy, vegan, gluten free and re-usable now?
I do still love it but I remember Halloween being much easier than this.
Think of a great costume, plan it months in advance, call around to my girlfriends to see what wigs we collectively had available and most importantly, who was going to paint our faces? Getting nostalgic, I went back and took a look through my photos from all the wonderous holidays before – I wasn’t imagining it, we really did have a good time.
Here are a few of my favourite costumes over the years…. Care to share any of yours? We’d love to see them!
